A new year and a new wardrobe (again)

Of the twelve months of the year I think I like January best. And that’s saying a lot because I strongly prefer Summer and warm weather lol.

January brings to us a new year, along with it a freshness of ideas and inspirations. Although I don’t often have a New Years Resolution there is still a fresh energy that seems to be here waiting for me, a new blank calendar page, and a chance to try any new thing!

It’s also a perfect time of year to do a closet clean out or organization. Thinking about how you express yourself to the world and to yourself.

My closet can ebb and flow like ocean waves, some years I’m bold and full of colour and strong shapes (like my closet last year) … but this year I’m making room for softness, maybe some romance. A more gentle way of dressing with florals and extra modest shapes with lots of soft fabric. Vintage accessories to add a touch of nostalgia….

So take a moment, or better yet an afternoon and look through you wardrobe, drawers, hanging closet, and jewelry case. Reflect on what items serve you best and represent who you are. What makes you smile? Bring those items to the front of your closet and Tops of you drawers.
